1# The Drakensberg Hike, South Africa
There is a scenic hike at the Drakensberg mountains in South Africa which you should really know about - it's called the Blindman's Corner hike. The path takes you first through the misty forest, until it finally opens up, offering amazing views over the spectacular mountains and valleys. The hike is steady, not too steep.

2# Ponta do Sao Lourenco, Madeira
One of the most scenic hikes around the world is definitely Ponta do Sao Lourenco at Madeira island, Portugal. It's one of those hikes you will never forget. Hiking along the cliffs, views over the sea.. oh man, it was so beautiful. It can't be described in words. Our recommendation - go in the morning hours since it can get pretty hot out there.

3# The Gergeti Hike, Georgia
If you find yourself in Stepantsminda in Georgia, make sure to do the epic hike from the village to the Gergeti trinity church. It gives you nice views over the surrounding mountains and the village. You will love it!

4# Tindstinden, Norway
Are you planning a trip to the Lofoten islands in Norway? Then this hike should make it onto your list. Climb the scenic mountain called Tindstinden - a great alternative to the world-famous Reinebergen hike in the Lofoten. As the latest got dangerous due to falling rocks, Tindstinden is equally beautiful and the views from up there are outstanding. Honestly speaking, this is the best hike we've EVER done.

5# Macchu Pichu Hike, Peru
Agua Calientes - here is where the real climbing to Machu Picchu starts. The official door to the Machu Picchu mountain opens at 5 am. and then? 1720 stairs. Yep. Quite hard. But so worth it once you reach the top! Read more about the trip here.

6# The 5-Lakes Hike in Zermatt, Switzerland
This is an extremely beautiful hike near Zermatt (South of Switzerland). You will see 5 different mountain lakes, each one special in its colour. To start you hike at Blauherd, you will need to take the cable car from Zermatt to the cable car station called Sunnega. Then take a lift to Blauherd. Find more details here.

7# Lüner Lake, Austria
This unbelievable beautiful Austrian mountain lake with its altitude of 1970 m and right at the border with Switzerland offers a scenic hiking trail you should go for! The colours of the lake are fantastic. A hike everyone should do once.

8# Sapa, Vietnam
We haven't met anyone out there who did the Sapa trekking and wasn't fascinated by it! The beautiful rice fields, lush vegetation, those cultural villages, friendly locals.. something you won't forget that easily.

9# Vogar, Slovenia
One of the scenic hikes around the world we simply have to mention is the Vogar trail in Slovenia. Once you reach the top, it's the tranquility and the views over Bohinj lake are two among many facts which make this hike so special. Find more details about this hike here.

10# Vista do Rei, The Azores
Last but not least, the scenic hike in the lovely Azores on the Sao Miguel island is worth a mention too. The highlight of this hike is its spectacular viewpoint over the lakes Lake Verde and Lake Azul! Follow the signs to Lagoa of Canario. A view you will never forget. In the same area there is an abandoned hotel (Monte Palace), open for visitors to go at the very top of this building to enjoy the views.
