In June, we were swimming, sunbathing, surfing, cycling and relaxing on a marvellous island in the middle of the Atlantic ocean. If you're looking for a vacation like this, you will find this blog post informative! Below, there is an great itinerary for your 7 days in Fuerteventura - the second largest Canary island, after Tenerife. Enjoy!

7 Days in Fuerteventura - Itinerary
We suggest the following itinerary for 7 days in Fuerteventura:
Day 1 - Arriving & Sand Dunes of Corralejo
Day 2 - Morro Jable & Parque Natural Jandia & Costa Calma
Day 3 to Day 5 - Surf & Yoga Camp
Day 6 - Lobos Island & Beach Time
Day 7 - Flying Home
Now find some details and useful information below!
Day 1 - Arriving & Sand Dunes of Corralejo
Chill! Those are your first hours on the island. Check-into the hotel or apartment, observe and get rested before your first adventure! Fresh again? Now pack your swimsuit and rent a bike or take a bus to the legendary Sand dunes of Corralejo - in the north of the island. Walk around, explore, take photos and then it's finally time to plunge into the turquoise water!
Wondering what camera we use to make these photos? Here's the link.

... we travelled a lot so far and saw many nice beaches so far, but THIS was outstanding!
Day 2 - Morro Jable & Parque Natural Jandia
Today is the day to rent a car and explore the island! Woohoo! If you're based in the north of Corralejo, then plan to drive around 2 hours to the southern point of the island! We paid about 16 EUR for the whole day and got a SEAT IBIZA via Hertz, which was totally fine.
Morro Jable is definitely a town where you should stop on the way to the Parque Natural Jandia. Go for a stroll along the coast, observe the picturesque lighthouse and have a coffee in one of the cafes!
Once in the southern part of the island, we entered the Parque Natural Jandia and enjoyed the beautiful coastline along the way!
Although the drive through the Parque Natural Jandia takes quite some time, don't give up and drive all the way to the stunning Cofete beach! There will be a must-see viewpoint just a few km before reaching the spot. The wind there could be really strong though, so watch out your stuff :=) ...however the goats were not bothered by it!
On the way back, we made a stop in Costa Calma - a beach holiday town with white houses and a picturesque beach. If you have some time left, go and check it out.
Day 3 - Day 5 : Surfing & Yoga
Fuerteventura with its landscape and water paradise is an island full of adventures. Beside cycling, hiking, jet-ski, kitesurfing, quad biking, it makes it a perfect spot for SURFING! In our opinion, go and visit Fuerteventura mainly for the reason of doing a sport activity on the island! Make sure to check Planet Surf Camp Fuerteventura for a week or two of surfing. We did it and could recommend it to everyone! It's never too late to start with a new sport! Read about our experience here.

Day 6 - Lobos Island & Beach Time
Want to explore a small remote island just 2 km from the main northern part of Fuerteventura? Lobos expeditions will take you there for 45 EUR and make your day unforgettable. You will be given the chance to cycle around the island but also to stand-up-paddle and kayak in the crystal clear lagoons. What is more, you will be served a meal in a typical fishermen's house (btw. that was so yummy)!
Once back from the island, you can spend the rest of the day relaxing at the beach in Corralejo or nearby. Enjoy and catch some sunrays!
Day 7 - Flying Home
Oh oh, the last day is here! Make sure to catch at least one sunrise while vacationing on the island. Why not waking up early and immersing yourself in the beautiful and romantic moment before going to the airport.
When to Go
Fuerteventura is just perfect all year-around. We travelled there in June, which we experienced as a pleasant period. The water was a bit cold (about 20°C) but still okay to go swimming. The water has the highest temperature in September and October - these are also the warmest months (27°C) on the island. Between December and March there are occasionally short rain showers.
