Do you like the idea visiting an arctic snow hotel or an glass igloo? Well, about 27 km from the Rovaniemi city centre there is a place which can turn your idea into reality. Check it out!
Visiting the Arctic Snow Hotel & Glass Igloos in Rovaniemi, Finland
The visit to the Arctic Snow Hotel & Glass Igloos in Rovaniemi was definitely memorable, thus it gets its own this blog post :) If you want to stay in one of these rooms over the night, make sure to book it here. A double bed costs around 210 EUR per night - not cheap but a lifetime experience for sure.
We've been only once to an igloo in Switzerland but this was a fully different experience - we were able to check out the different types of rooms, the dining/event area, the chapel, the ice bar etc. Each room had a different style, different paintings on the "walls", different vibes... Really stunning. The photos will speak for themselves.
The photo below shows one of the dining rooms in the Snow hotel. Gorgeous, isn't it?
This is the chapel! Oh yes, the Snow hotel has a chapel :) People get married here quite often... think about it :D
This is how the room numbers look like - a cool idea, don't you think?
Hmmm..I'd sleep in this bed :)
This was the ice bar area.. from time to time there are some parties here. Would love to join them :)
Glass Igloos
The glass Igloos were not really a part of the tour but they were only 2 minutes away from the snow hotel, so we checked them out too. I've seen so many pics on social media before, that's why I was eager to see them live. The indoors looked quite cozy - there is the bed, a table and a bathroom. The highlight is of course the glass roof, which is just perfect for observing the sky in times when Northern Lights show up. Must be lovely to spend a night there!
Check out the availability and prices here.
There is a snowfall sauna close to the snow hotel and the glass igloos. We haven't visited it from the inside but our guide demonstrated the sauna procedure at one sauna place just next to it. Definitely worth a visit when booking a night at the snow hotel, glass igloos, respectively.
