Travelling to New York? Yes??!! I'm jealous. I'm a huge fan of nature but I must admit, NYC totally stole my heart! I could visit the city again and again. As the City is so huge, I think it's good to have an actual plan what places are of your interest to visit. In case you'd love to see the impressive buildings from above or generally enjoy a distance view, you might want to read about 9 Spots to Enjoy the NYC Skyline!

From Top of the Rock
From Top of the Rock you will have a gorgeous view over the Central Park and the nearest districts. The ticket price is 32 USD for adults. You can book the ticket in advance or buy it at the spot. Worth every dollar!
From Brooklyn Park
My favourite viewpoint in NYC is the Brooklyn Park! It is a calm and lovely park with a wonderful view of the NYC skyline. In case, your stomach starts to churn while observing the skyscrapers, go and find Shake Shack nearby - according to a local, they offer the best burgers in the City! And you know what? It's actually true. I even got a delicious veggie burger! :=)
The Brooklyn Bridge
Walk or run the Brooklyn Bridge. It's one of the places in New York where many people reunite and enjoy the view over the NYC skyline! It's worth to go at night to see the NYC lights!
The Empire State Building
If you have visited Top on the Rock during the day, then you should consider getting a special photo of the NYC skyline in the sunset time. To do so, visit the impressive and not to be missed skyscraper called the Empire State Building. I have visited NYC in September, what meant that I have found myself on the top of the building at about 5 pm. While there, try to get a great position and wait until the sun goes down. Priceless, I can tell!
The Central Park
One of the spots to enjoy the NYC skyline is also the Central Park! Around its biggest lake you will perfectly have the chance to admire the city's skyscrapers. What a great scenery to take a photo!
Floating to the Staten Island
If you ask me, this is one of the perfect ways to enjoy the NYC skyline. The yellow ferry will take you for free (oh yes, for free!) to the so called Staten Island. It is a short ride of about 25 minutes with amazing views of Manhattan and the Statue of Liberty.
Another must-see place if you need a great NYC Skyline photo is Hoboken. I recommend to visit this place in the late afternoon in order to enjoy the beautiful sunset over the city! The photo below does not do justice to what you will experience by being there in person!
Why not observing the NYC Skyline from above? You can do so by buying a ticket for an adventurous helicopter ride! A classic 15-minutes tour over Manhattan costs as much as 200 USD (+ 35 USD helicopter fee) - quite pricey, but all the money worth!
Ship Cruise around Manhattan
A great way to observe the NYC skyline is by taking another ship cruise around Manhattan. It is not for free as the ferry to Staten Island but you get to see other angles and districts of the City. The ticket costs about 42 USD.
If you haven't visited New York yet, I encourage you to do so. It's different districts, mix of people from all over the world, it's vibe, astonishing parks, extravagant restaurants and bars, shopping possibilities, a bunch of cultural events and of course, it's beautiful views of the city are a trip worth. It's one of my favourite cities out there! I'll post a 9-day NYC itinerary soon. But until then - Thanks for reading and sharing!
