Day Trip from Barcelona
It was my second time in Sitges. This time I came back with Jerry, as I wanted to show him this beauty! I remembered Sitges as a impressive coastal town with amazing food, beautiful architecture, cute shops and stunning scenery. And there is something more. THAT colour of the sea water. It is so turquoise!
What to Do in Sitges
In Sitges, make sure to eat a delicious Paella, any other fish meal or some tapas! Then go for some cool shopping! In the evening there are plenty of bars to choose from if you're up for a party.
Now something for "I'm not a city person" type of traveller: Hike from Sitges in the direction of Vilanova pels Caps. It is about a 20-minute hike to the first cliffs and breathtaking viewpoints over Sitges. Continue the path along the cliffs for some more adventure. It is so beautiful!
This hike was definitely our highlight of this day trip!
How to Get to Sitges
The best way to reach Sitges from Barcelona is by train. Take the train either from Estacio Sants or Passeig de Gracia in Barcelona. The final station of this train is Vilanova i la Geltru but make sure you go off at Sitges! :) The ticket costs 4.10 EUR (single) and 7.20 EUR (return).
