Maybe this blog post will inspire you to head straight to a place in Port Barton, which is a true paradise spot. It is a place, we will always keep close to our hearts. It's just brilliant! Unless you don't like fantastic places - in which case, you're on the wrong part of the interwebs :)
Where to Stay in Port Barton
There is a Paradise Spot near Port Barton
You know what, this was one of the most beautiful places we have ever experienced. It's just impossible not to totally relax, when you're there. To keep it short, here's what makes the place sooo magnificent:

There is a place to stay there too, which is described below, but if you only want to relax at the beach, there is no need to sleep over at this resort.
Where to Stay in Port Barton - The Accommodation
The name of this resort is the White Beach Annex. And how does the accommodation at the White Beach look like? There are a few beachfront cottages with huge terraces infront, a big bedroom with two double beds and a bathroom. The rooms are very spacious and clean. There are a few things that we must admit though - there is no wifi (but believe me that turns out to be great), there is no electricity during the day and there are a lot of mosquitoes (not really a problem of the accommodation itself). There's also a resident cat (Captain Meow Meow), which adds extra points to the awesomeness meter.
How Much Does it Cost?
Probably the most important thing - how much does it cost to spend the night at the White Beach? Well, it is not a cheap place to stay, but it is also not the most expensive out there.. (in El Nido such a place could cost 500 EUR or so!). This one costs ca. 50 EUR per night.
Renting a Kayak & Island Hopping at the White Beach Annex
A fun way to spend a day in the archipelago of Port Barton is to go kayaking. You can rent the kayak right at the White Beach Annex. The price for a 6-hour rental is 300 PHP, for the whole day it must be around 600 PHP. It was a great adventure to go kayaking, as we got to see some cool things on our way such as a starfish, mangrove forest, beautiful birds, fishing huts on the sea...
We make mistakes, so you don't have to :) As we already did Island Hopping in el Nido, we did not do it here, but after speaking to people who've done it from Port Barton, it's definitely worth it. It's around 40% cheaper than (around 700 PHP with lunch) in el Nido and you also get to see beautiful beaches, you can do snorkling, swimming with turtles, etc... and what's most important, it's not as crowded.

How to Access the White Beach
Now you know where to stay in Port Barton. But how to access this place? If you arrive to Port Barton, make sure to head to the Deep Moon Resort. In case you have a reservation at the White Beach Annex, they will most likely organise a transfer for you to the resort. We were told to wait at the Deep Moon Resort as we will be picket up by a boat. The trip to this white beach lasted for about 10 min. Going back, we got a lift by a jeep and the drive took us about 15-20 min. There were many people visiting the White Beach during the day. We saw them coming on foot - according to Google Maps, it should be around 1h 30 min. Another way of accessing the beach is by kayaking from the village. Make sure you check the water conditions and your muscle ability prior to your departure ;)
We guarantee you, this place will be the cherry of the top of your Philippines trip. Nevertheless, if your stay at White Beach Annex is coming to an end and you still want to stay in Port Barton, we recommend you to check in at Deep Moon Resort back in the town and ask for the beachfront cottages! I just got back from Port Barton two days ago - and everything you mentioned is on point (the dirt /muddy road to get there was rather scary!)
I hope it stays rather undiscovered - it's so peaceful and feels rather unexplored. Can't imagine what it would be like 5 years from now!

Good info. We were in Port Barton for over a week and really enjoyed Pamoyan Falls followed up by a visit to Mojitos RestoBar in the jungle. These are must visit places that are off the beaten track. Appreciate the time put into the information here.
